Community Brew & Tap

As part of a concerted citywide effort to revive Downtown Cornelia’s once-bustling retail district, our team had the privilege of collaborating with locals and community leaders to design a one-of-a-kind restaurant in one of Cornelia’s most historic landmarks.

Since its construction in 1900, the Cornelia Bank Building has been a major presence on downtown’s Main Street. After sitting vacant for over a decade, the derelict building required extensive restoration, careful planning, and detailed coordination in order to simultaneously preserve the building’s historical character and incorporate elements vital to a restaurant’s operation. Unique features like the original bank vaults were repurposed as wine storage that customers have the opportunity to experience while skillful restoration of the original masonry walls provides an industrial yet sophisticated atmosphere conducive to fine dining.

What was once a bank is now an upscale eatery focused on forging community and providing an experience that beckons customers to return to Cornelia.
