We are a multi-disciplinary design firm that combines technical proficiency, with creative energy to provide our clients with a service that is truly tailored to fit their needs.
Taylor Pitelka
Founder
Taylor is the founding principal of TAP Design Group. He holds Master’s Degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He has 14 + years of experience working with retail and restaurant clients ranging from small business start-ups to nation-wide franchises. Taylor started TAP in 2018 with a desire to focus on the client and provide exceptional customer service on all scales of projects.
When Taylor is not working on his next big project, he loves to get outside and explore, both in and out of the city. His hobbies include a backyard vegetable garden, and a daily yoga practice.
W. Max Boston
Project Manager
Max is a project manager at TAP Design Group. He holds a B.S.F.C.S. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology. Max has experience in a variety of project types ranging from retail to multi-family residential. Whether small business owners or larger corporate parties, Max enjoys working closely with clients during all phases of a project.
When he is not in the office, you will likely find Max running or biking the Beltline. He also enjoys interior design and loves to cook when time allows.
Alejandra Pulgar
Project Manager
Alejandra is a project manager at TAP Design Group. Venezuelan born and raised, she grew up in Caracas where she received her Bachelor’s in Architecture at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). During her academic program, she studied abroad at the Lyon School of Architecture in France. Upon graduation, she moved to Brazil where she obtained a postgraduate certificate in Interior Design at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC).
A native Spanish speaker, her passion for travel has allowed her to become fluent in French, Portuguese and English.
Experienced in all stages of the design process, Alejandra enjoys engaging with the owners and coordinating with other team members to help achieve a shared vision.
In her off hours, Alejandra enjoys doing black & white photography, going on walks with her dog Asha, and practicing Ashtanga yoga daily.
Laura Foppe
Designer/Associate
Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from SIU-Carbondale, IL. She began a career in commercial design in 1988. She worked for a midsize architectural firm in Orlando, FL then got married and moved to Atlanta, GA where she spent 25 years at Morton Gruber Architects; ending with the owner’s well deserved retirement. She has designed hundreds of specialty retail shops, bakeries and quick-serve restaurants.
She manages each project from initial client consult through design phase, drafting, building permit submittals, bidding, shop drawing review, construction administration to the best day ever for the client- receiving Final Certificate of Occupancy! Laura is excited to join TAP Design Group and will continue to focus on client satisfaction and design excellence.
If found outside the office, she is probably hanging out with family and friends, volunteering at church with youth education or trying to improve her disc golf game.
