Brumby Lofts
This project involved the renovation and redesign of the Leasing and Fitness Center Amenities at Brumby Lofts. Located in the heart of historic Marietta, Brumby Lofts is over a century old and still contains many of the building’s original elements. As such, it was especially important to the client and to our team that the architectural integrity of such a historical place not only be preserved, but also celebrated.
Rustic exposed brick, original windows, and heavy timber structural elements have been kept wherever possible. Black metal storefront systems were designed and installed to create private yet transparent leasing offices while simultaneously accentuating the building’s existing industrial aesthetic. Despite constraints of a century old building, our design integrated upgraded plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems and the existing floorplan was methodically redesigned to provide ADA compliant facilities.
Apart from the enhanced aesthetic appeal, an equally remarkable result of the renovation is the increased quality of life it provides for residents of the community. Through strategic space planning, our team was able to transform an area that once functioned as an office into a place that houses numerous resident amenities, including a lounge, coffee bar, and hybrid workstations.
